Orquesta Salson is a 10 piece Salsa Dura group from Monterey/San Jose, CA. This group has a mix of old school salseros who've been playing in and leading bands for the last 30+ years, plus a bunch of young cats like myself who are passionate about the music - mixing the old and new generation into a force that set's the dance floor ablaze!!
Gigging all over Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Jose, San Francisco, and everywhere else in the bay area and beyond, highly recognized in the Monterey area, and TEARING IT UP a few years ago at the Redwood City Salsa Festival, and recently opening for Spanish Harlem Orchestra at the 2012 Salsa Congress... if you want hard hitting salsa with a little groovy cha cha cha y mas thrown into the mix here and there, SALSON is your band!! (FYI we can also throw in some bachata y cumbia if you ask nicely!)
